Amed and Tulamben hotels and villas on the site of reservations in general do not need your credit card number or asks for an advance deposit rather than donate proceeds to charity. Amed is actually a beach in the area which includes several villages, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah and Selang, all of which are relatively intact, compared with other tourist areas Balinese. The beach itself is nothing special, the black volcanic sand and not much of it, but the area has a very relaxed feel to be reflected in the variety of lodgings and accommodations available for tourists. With some luxurious rooms, most hoteliers offer very basic backpacking type bungalows midrange and boutique rooms and villas. Amed does a very good starting point for touring and neighbors Amlapura (city water) and even Tulamben, famous for their freedom wreck diving. Several small hotels operator based dive often engendered in Tulmaben itself in recent years, although most travellers favour Amed.
